With your advanced degree and your Licensed Professional Counselor Certification from University of Houston-Clear Lake, you’ll be equipped to administer psychotherapy services to a number of populations. LPCs can assist with a range of problems, including marital issues, substance abuse rehabilitation and mood disorders. You’ll gain the skills you need to listen to your clients’ problems, evaluate their concerns, and help them develop adaptive coping strategies.

Achieve Your Goal of Obtaining Your LPC Certification

To receive Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification, you must also complete all post-graduate criteria as outlined by the LPC board, including temporary certification, 3,000 hours of a supervised post-master’s internship and passing the National Counselor Examination.
