Deborah Griffin received her B.B.A. in management from Texas A&M University and her M.A. in literature with an emphasis in composition and rhetoric from University of Houston-Clear Lake. She has taught business writing in a variety of formats since joining the university in 1999. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she serves as the director of operations for the College of Human Sciences and Humanities. In this capacity, Ms. Griffin manages the assessment, data analysis and reporting, and communication activities of the college. She also serves as a member of the college’s administrative team.
Ms. Griffin has also served the College of Human Sciences and Humanities as the director of humanities, division chair for humanities and fine arts, and department chair for communication and studio arts. She has served on various university-level committees including the QEP Topic Selection committee and the SACS Reaffirmation of Accreditation committee. In 2012, Ms. Griffin was also named as the university’s outstanding lecturer.
