Lorie Jacobs, Ph.D.

Lori S. Jacobs joins the writing program as an assistant professor. She received her
doctorate in English with an emphasis in composition and rhetoric from the University
of Texas at Arlington. Jacobs’s research interests include composition pedagogy, digital
literacy, transformative education, and writing program administration. She received
an M.A. in the teaching of English from the University of Nevada, with areas of study
in composition pedagogy, educational research, and creative nonfiction.
Jacobs studied English and creative writing and received a media studies specialization from Tulane University, where she also completed her undergraduate work.
